Aldi has Wagyu beef burgers as a special today

May need some guidance on the burn part - not in my skillset

Snack van has not been used for a couple of years. Nearest food is from Lakeside Cafe on the other side of the lake.

Roadford is lovely today and we've had a nice sail. The pub in Bratton Clovelly is even further away than I remember - thought we'd got lost in the lanes!
Minisail (Dean) and Moth (Alan) here too. Looking forward to the weekend.

Seicento radiator removed, new one bought and replaced.....so Family have transport.

Also sorted out friends diesel with issues, pulled off intercooler pipe and temp fix (superglue & tape). Busy day.

Now it's just mine to sort. Disco wheel off, hub out, axleshaft out, bearings drifted out. New parts bought. Just have to clean up old hub, replace new bearings and put it all back together.

Also have possibility of borrowing another Disco, which I might take up.

If all goes to plan hoping to come up after school tomorrow and give instant crewing lesson to keen 11 year old boy. All keep fingers crossed!

Now back in office working on IOM

later

Hi Alan and all

Sorry but we (the Wylies and N33) will not be at Roadford this weekend. Not as planned , my brother, John, had an eye op at short notice and cannot sail for several weeks, and I have a poor excuse of work. So have fun and .. until next year, Neil

So.....New Radiator in Seicento...

Wheel bearing done on Disco....

all ready to go.....

Bloody thing won't start.

Diesel....how much can go wrong! Most probably the bloody spider thingy.

sure there is a bypass.

Not sure whether to soldier on for a bit more, or take offer of other car to borrow.

May be up shortly, or tomorrow morning.

Thanks also to Alan - particularly for the beer and barbeques :D

Will be back next year sans about 30lbs of metalwork on the boat (and hopefully a few lbs less from my waistline)

Yes many thanks to Alan and also the race officer. You even organised perfect weather!

I'll do a write up for Y&Y etc, now. If someone could up on here at least one good photo I could use that would be great. thanks.

A.W suggested that if people who took part would care to write a few lines that could be part of an overall write-up then the result would encompass much more than just a single person's perspective. Sound a good idea so if anyone would like to contribute please write something on these pages below. Subjects might include: what its like to be at the front of the fleet ( not something I experienced! ). Something about boats you know about or amusing or irritating things that happened. etc..etc..

Lets see what we get!.....

Thanks, Alan and your team for another lovely weekend at Roadford, we could have stayed all week!!
Kate actually admitted that she missed sailing Olwyn just a little. Perhaps the Hit may stay at home a little more.
Hope to see you all soon.
