Great weekend at Banury. Thanks to all concerned especially Pat and Tim. The Barlows hung around and sailed on Sunday, light winds but the elder Barlows were relieved to do better than on Saturday!! Got home safely ...... no further RAC call outs!

Oops just seen Chris' post above.......thought he was still unpacking boats in the garden!

Thanks again to all at Banbury SC for another great weekend and a most enjoyable first event for Wendy and I in the Merlin. It's entirely possible that we might be sailing the merlin again at a couple of CVRDA events next season. The quiz night was good fun although I suspect that we might not be invited back after the two CVRDA teams came 1st and 2nd! The evening meal was superb as ever and a big thank you should go to Pat and the ladies in the galley for all their hard work making it happen. Even the weather gods smiled on us this year considering we are well into October already and the wind was from a good direction for the reservoir. A bit more water would be nice next year so that we can get further away from the fishermen and avoid grounding the plate as often, but I guess the hazards make it more of a challenge!
Hope to see everyone at Baltic Wharf next month.
