Are you suggesting the bribe for the handicap is a fiver, Mark?
PS How kind/unkind are moths on creaky knees?

One of my sails has no numbers, the other 718, so I'm OK! Can't quite remember the real number right now...

Can someone find a handicap for the Bobbin as I'm hoping to get it finally sanded and painted - just needed the deadline!
Something between a mirror and an optimist would seem about right - 9ft long and one less sail than the mirror and one more than the oppy!
However it leaves us with one boat between two so if anyone needs a helm or crew.... otherwise Sandy threatened to go to the local tip and find an old bathtub!

I don't think the Bobbin ever had a handicap. My suggestion would be to put it nearer the oppy than the Mirror, as the oppy on the river would never sail to handicap. The Oppy went off 144, so 140?
As we are pursuit racing, you had better start this weekend...and the lap counting person had better be on the ball! Actually, if a Firefly was racing for 50 mins, you'd be out for 70, which doesn't seem too wrong?

140 sounds fair to me, so make the first race 10.50 CST (Chippenham Standard Time)

Mark, I think Lois has other plans for that weekend which include me. So i probably won't be able to come unfortunately. Sorry about this.
I think Roger might be looking for a ride in Moth though.

Mark, sorry to say i definately won't be at Chippenham. Family get together! ( For our 30th wedding anniversary so I bettter not make a fuss. Hope it goes well as I have always enjoyed the company there - especially Mary's bangers.

Just checked the weather for this Sunday. Not TOO hot, but dry and broken cloud with gentle breezes. Perfect river weather. Mind you, I'm still expecting squlls and thunder, as that is all I've ever sailed in at Chippenham!

Rupert, are squlls a sort of oar that seagulls use?
Mark, I only mentioned Mary's bangers as I thought it indescreet to mention her spare ribs or even her chicken legs. - oh I shall miss the Chippenham banter!

Mark, There is a possibility I can get a pass to come to Chippenham. Any chance I can borrow the boat Chris was going to use?? I will confirm tomorrow.
