Steve and Wendy Winter now booked up for the Clywedog week-end although Firefly holed so work in progress vintage Merlin to be utilised and being glued up as I go to press.
Mrs W only willing to attend on proviso of non-camping experience so no such facilities required although looking forward to hog roast etc.
Look out for erratically sailed Merlin 1477!
We may fall to bits if the wind is up so if anyone needs a crew let us know....
CU Soon

Thanks Roger - one other duck now lined up and can be forgotten about. Will be there Thursday night. Steve - can we meet before the sailing and try to synchronise our erratically sailed Merlins. It might at least give the spectators the impression that we were the Red Arrows of the CVRDA rather than haphazard!!
Gosh that takes me back....
Alan Watson (ex-commodore at BWSC) and I used to spend ages discussing the possibility of making up a synchronised sailing team.
We were always amazed that no-one had attempted it before (unless you know different). We were going to use Fireflys, we had enough in the club and although he and I played at it many times on the docks we never really took it any further. Still think it would be both great fun and remarkably stupid....in other words just my kind of thing.
cheers

Sandy & I (camper and awning) with my teenage duaghter who probably won't get in a sailboat unless paid a fortune (but will canoe and may be bribeable for dog walking or helping out) and also her aunt and hubby with tent. All as per previous email.
BTW synchronised sailing is practised at most Lark training events. Usually known as "tacking on the whistle" it resulted in a lovely photo of "Four Larks in a Wok" at Queen Mary.
