Not a CVRDA event, but I hope its still acceptable to post here:
One of the events I have been looking forward to all year is the Poole AB 60th anniversary regatta to be held at Parkstone YC on September 8th.
The Poole AB has always been a great small teaching/racing dinghy for children and is actively sailed at Parkstone. I understand that all 89 boats based there will be out sailing for the Parade of Sail. But not until there have been a couple of races between old sailors and new.
I won the National Championships in 1968 sailing AB50 and I am very fortunate that the current owners are allowing me to race it again, 50 years later.
The following is from the Poole AB website http://www.pooleab.co.uk/
1958 -2018 : Celebrating 60 Years of the Poole AB Dinghy
