It looks something like a Python but not sure, it was a long time ago when I last saw one.

Going to have to bow the head in shame - I really don't know this one!

It looks like somene has crossed a Finn with a Toy with a flipper scow.

bet it is a brute in any wave - even if it did have a handicap like the OK (whoop - I wasn't supposed to say that!)

Go on - someone save it!

I agree with John - looks like a Tempo scow. However, that was 15'6", not 16'. But the beam is right, 5'.

The Tempo got a real good write up back in the 1965 DYB, but no mention of a GRP version.

and back by popular demand......

It is the Tempo Scow.

Now (addressing Chris 249 out in OZ) - did the tempo make an appearance at the 1965 Weymouth Trials?

The dates are right - as are the dimensions so it could just be.......

If so then this is a real little bit of history, in the same vein as the Unit and the Dart Dinghy that is already being saved by an association member.

For all of that, the Tempo still looks a brute to me.

Tempo Scow - Big in Germany

Post by Ed »

Still not quite a lost class though....

they are being actively sailed in Germany.

See: http://www.tempo-scow.de/

I wonder how old this one is?

I have to admit to a slight liking for it....as a fun beach boat....

Does anybody have any other info about the class being sailed in the UK?

cheers
