an enterprising torchbearer for a leader

Post by davidh »

Hi all,

Netley's been having a bit of a clear out and there are some boats that are destined for destruction
"tell me, over and over and over again, you've got to believe, this is the year of destruction"

a Torch - wooden, poor nick, a broken wooden mast complete with sliding gooseneck (who wanted one of those recently)

an Ent - wooden, pretty much complete with a newish mast plus old Holt mast

Leader - early, with wooden mast.

I don't expect the club would want much for any of these - just a donation to the RNLI or the youth section funds

Are their any old Moths, or Moth bits? Last time I was that way (about 5 years ago!) there was a wood Duflos in the 'dunce's corner'.

Hi, I am restoring a YWDB which has a wooden mast, but I am missing some of the fittings such as the gooseneck. I am in Southampton so would be very interested in the gooseneck and other fittings if there are any?

Thanks

Hi David

I would be really interested in the ent - am curious though as to how complete is "complete". Does it have a road trailer?

Cheers

David,

Have sent you a direct e-mail but not sure if you got it but would like to register an interest in the Leader please.

I was only asking about Moth bits because I was going to the Netley boat jumble nearby yesterday and was going to look in, but I got all the bits I wanted for my current project at the jumble.
