Strange how your eyes see what you expect to see.

Took me a couple of looks before I even noticed the cinquecento behind....my brain just cut it out.

For what it's worth......we just bought a 'cento'.....bit of a giggle

No....not entirely :-)

more by getting 45-50mpg, low tax and insurance of £120 a year.

To be honest, its the 'sporting', even with Abarth bits, so is fun in the lanes around here.

Question is.....would it pull a dinghy?

Its a right giggle!

Hi Ed
We used to tow Hornets with 850 Mini's. One of the funniest tales from the Hornet days relates to an old crew of mine Joe (the sniffer), Snawdon. Joe used to fancy hippy type women the skanky ones (he had a Lotus Elan 2+2), but preferred to drive a Citreon 2CV Dolly the red and white one as it gave him more cred with this type of girl. He decided that he wanted to tow his boat to the Hornet Nationals at Shoreham in Sussex (using the 2CV),. Well the fleet left Plymouth towing with Volvo's, Montego's, Ford Serrias, Metro Sports, VW Golf GTI etc. We all arrrived at Shoreham after about 6 hrs (Bank Holiday Traffic on the South Coast road causing the delays),.
Joe arrived a long time afterwards to be greeted by a drunken Scottish Hornet sailor with the words "Hey Guys it's one of those stripped out racing 2CV's" . Joe in his Quest to save weight had removed the passenger's seat both rear seats the bootlid and anything that would come (including the doors), off the horrible little thing. Well that was it for the rest of the week every time he walked past anyone they would start to make broom broom noises and then burst out laughing. The real joke though was that he would have been better driving his Lotus as it causes less pollution than a stinky little 2Cv and he would have pulled a nicer type of girl.
Cheers Al

I like the complete lack of mention of the truckman top it appears to have grown... which, I'm guessing, is worth at least £700 of the starting price!

Hi Jim
Same person Joe has never had any children but liked to have girl crews. Nick named sniffer because he was always after everyone elses girl friend.
