Radio Control Finn.....sort of

Post by Ed »

As there seems to be some correlation between the Roadford Finn Sailors....and the model-yacht sailors amongst us...

I wonder whether you guys had seen this:

Item No: 170712951709

Interesting model.

Never seen a uni-rigged model yacht....and not sure, but looks like it might be rigged to allow the rig to be raked and flattened in true Finn style, although would imagine this would need a 3rd channel.

cheers

But be quick....only one day left on it.

The link broke but you can find it by searching for Mickey-Finn on the eBay main page.

This is also interesting: http://www.vmyg.org.uk/pages/news/event ... eld_04.htm

Hi Ed
Mickey Finn
Yes based on the real Finn sails a lot better than the RC Laser but not as fast as it is shorter with less sail area. Years ago at Crystal Palace the main attraction was to have a go racing around the swimming pool with their Mickey Finns. The wind being supplied by huge fans.
Cheers Al
