Nice boat....pity to break it up, but without known history or class, it would need a determined new owner.

As for class....it is hard to say.

there is no shortage of 16ft clinker classes from that period:

Burnham 16ft
Emsworth One Design
Falcon One Design (not the Fairey boat of same name) but I think these are 'open'
Hurst One Design
Poole Dolphin (deck outline looks possible) (no relation to the Plymouth Dolphin)
Torbay Minnow

Even with proper measurements, it might be hard to work out.

Does anyone know any of the above classes?

It's not a Burnham SC 16 as they were completely open.

Vendor says it is a Royal Dart One design.

Here is a bit about them

Would be one for me but a bit too far.

I emailed the vendor for more info. Here's the answer I got :
Hi the boat is RDOD royal dartmouth one design, she was use 20 or so years ago on the dart as a tender to a larger yacht, the person who bought her and done some restoration on her
repaired the stern and endclosed the stern because originally it was open. there are some
planking on the hull that need replacing and ribs. will try and get some more phots to put on the auction

now we know
