I've just added this advert to the Int Canie site, but I know there's a few CVRDA members who have expressed a possibly interest in ICs (fools, fools.....). It's not CVRDAble at the moment but could be a cheap, fun boat to play with.

K200. Piranha Mark II, 1988,
Proctor Kappa mast, all complete and sailable, new
carbon tiller extension, cover, purpose built
galvanised trailer (new 1998). Not competitive, but
may be fun for a beginner. Alternatively, buy the
trailer and get a boat for free! Lying Chelmsford,
Essex. Quick sale required, any offer considered.

OK Neil, I might bite! What is a Piranha Mark II? Would really prefer a CVRDA aged boat though, so still interested in an Avalon if you hear of one coming up for sale.

Thanks

Hi Stu, thinking about buying something else for CVRDA sailing? Definitely interested if you are thinking of selling your IC?

He can't sell it yet....I am just about to put it in the workshop for a little work.

Incidentally.....Neil, are you sure that IC K200 has the same foredeck as yours....I know that not all Piranhas had that foredeck, the first IC that I looked at with was just over 200 had a normal type foredeck which I think is much prettier.

cheers

Pretty sure the Mk2 had the flat foredeck. I think they had a mast tower as well, mine had been cut off.

Yup....sure you are right....

just interesting that I have seen at least one piranaha which was later than 200 and had a proper foredeck.

Guess original deck could of been cut off or maybe it was supplied as a shell and built up from that

Ah Stu, such a tease! Maybe I could blag a sail sometime though? I'm sure the right IC will turn up eventually, but in the interests of domestic bliss, I'd better not spend anything else on boats for the moment (Merlin 3546 is being revarnished and painted right now - looks stunning already!).

Hi Dave; of course you can. It'll look fab as soon as Ed has done his stuff. Mind you there are far easier canoes to sail than mine !! [:p]
