Re: 1965 OK on the bay
I've sailed this boat at Whitefriars - if I wasn't playing with Lightnings and Minisails, I'd have jumped at buying her.

Looks very nice. Not sure I could get on with that low boom though, when taking, I would have to lose a couple of stone from my midrift

The cockpit is pretty deep, so there is a place to duck, but compared to your N12, it would feel pretty low.

Re: 1965 OK on the bay
As Rupert points out, OKs have deep cockpits. Surprisingly so.
I've played with a Contender and my Dad's Solo in the past and found the booms very low on these. The Solo's huge centreboard casing is a real hurdle to scramble over.
Sheeted in hard going up wind in a stiff breeze and the OKs boom is very low indeed but as soon as tension is released on the mainsheet, just by a little bit, the boom pops up and away you go to the other side. Many a top OK helm has been/is over 14 stone or over 6ft tall. Not that you need to be a gorilla to sail one. Pass me another banana.
Somebody please buy 757 and look after her.
I'm 5'8" and 12 stone in old money, by the way
