Yup looks like that.

this kind of project seems just so inviting.

Personally I would chuck out everything except the hull anyway.

Am I interested.....

no....

couldn't store it whilst I:

built a new IC
built a new seat for current IC
repaired varnish on Tideway
repaired varnish and cleaned up Firefly
put new ribs, deck, paint and varnish on my 15ft river boat
stripped hull and decks of Jollyboat J3 and repainted/revarnished
total rebuild of other Jollyboat shell with crew deck, twin wire. etc etc.

Thing is....if I ever got that done....I would still not get it as I also have a nice Proctor MkVIII merlin that I would just love to do up....and that is already in storage.

And then there is the Holt IC that is looking for a home.

So many projects.....so little time....

errrr...stop now Ed - you're making me nervous and I haven't even set eyes yet on Typhoon 20 let alone Unit 7!!! Does their arrival herald a new way of life - one with varnish stains on ones 'best' trousers.....sawdust under the fingernails......screw's left to make holes in pockets: oh dear, had better stop now!!!

Can you have a root around for some contact details down at the NMM at Falmouth - I've some more details coming in that ought to be preserved somehow!!

Will be looking to you for some help on 'advanced planking theory' - like sex, I've only done it twice and the second time I fell off!!

Saw the post about a whole new way of life, once you get a old boat.
In reply yep it is a new way of life warnish stains on all your best cloths because you just had to do that little bit. pockets and washing machine full of odd screws recipts from the chandler falling out of your wallet and forget going to london for the shop there is a boat jumble on that day which you just have to go to in case the have the bit you want. You will find your self talking in terms that are so old that other boat owners will just nod their heads and go a "classic" case. in other word you will fit in he really well.
No offence intended to anyone, just a discription of my life since getting a 1960's wooden ent..... Stephen
Getting as bad as the rest. Two boats and two tenders
