Vintage Optimist number 276 needs a new home.

Post by DrMaggieS »

Does any one know where the best place to sell a vintage Optimist number 276. Comes with wooden spars, Oak gooseneck with leathered jaws, One old stern airbag which still works (date stamp 1969) and 2 new ones, white and blue striped sail ? original? and a newer racing one (bought second hand as the blue and white is rather saggy) Galvanised steel launching trolley . Also hull cover + bow bumper about 4 years old. It was found in a local garage and restored by my husband, and sailed by our daughter for the past few years but not used this summer so time to move it on. Good order and stainless steel fittings throughout.
Lying at Papercourt sailing club in Surrey. painted bluebell blue and large name WONDERLAND on the side which could be removed as it is stickers.

I see the oldest optimist has metal spars - is this the oldest with wooden ones?
