Dear sailors and old boat enthusiasts,
I recently acquired a wooden International 14 K871 'Aquamarina', which I believe built by Souter/Casson in May 1965. I sailed it for a few weeks at Alton Water, but unfortunately the reservoir was then closed for a few months because of an outbreak of blue/green algae. I stored the boat at the club under a new, well -fitting cover, but sadly there was still some water trapped in the buoyancy tanks and when I came back in September, I found that some of the planks had de-laminated from the hull.
Sadly, we do not have anywhere dry to store the boat (it was stored in a barn by previous owners), and I do not have time to fix the boat up myself (I bought a carbon International 14 to race over the winter instead ). So I am happy to give K871 Aquamarina to anyone that wants to take it and sail it again.
The boat has a cold-moulded varnished hull, aluminium spars, laminated centre-board and rudder, and comes with a full set of sails. It also comes with a two-part trailer (launch trolley and road trailer).
If you are interested, please call me on 07500 531 058 or email me at ty@thomasyeung.biz - we live in Suffolk, and the boat is stored at Alton Water. I will try and upload pictures here or I can email some on request.

Here are some photos of the boat. The first three are from May 2018, when I received the boat. The fourth shows some of the delamination - there is a bit more on the other side, too.

That's the 14 that sailed extremely well at Aldeburgh in both 2016 and 2017 - some action shots here:

Dear all,
K871 'Aquamarina' has now been collected and is on her way to her new home in Cumbria.
She was great fun to sail for the few months we had together, but sadly, without a dry place to keep her when off the water, she was too high-maintenance for me.
I hope her new owner can keep her sailing for longer than I did.
