Swordfish blurb

Length overall 15'
Beam 5'4"
Draft 9" plate up 4' 9" plate down
All up weight 240lb
Sail area Main 95 sq. ft.
Jib 35 sq. ft.
Spinnaker 80 sq. ft.

Recognising the need for something larger than the Firefly, Faireys next produced the Swordfish. Described by Charles Curry as "Too heavy", the Swordfish also suffered from a lack of freeboard aft The boat was not a success and it was soon discontinued to be replaced by the Albacore.
The only canoe sailor in MY village too !

It looks just like my Merlin - a Proctor IX - in fact the wash boards are original from what I know but were removed on mine (but you could see the old marks where they had been). What we really need to know is - does it capsize like a Merlin!!
