I used a fireball mast which is a touch longer but works well and easier to find or try a shortened 505.

I have a 505 mast if you want one, can take to Nationals.

I could offer you (free) a choice of two fireball masts, both of which need fitting out. One is a Proctor complete with a 10:2 kicker winch (ugh! but right period) the other is uncertain, poss superspars.

Both need quite a bit of work e.g. one has no spreaders, both need all running rigging, and so on....

Collect from near Cirencester.

thanks for all the kind offers.are we all sure a fireball mast is longer than a pegasus one. ive always discounted them as being 3inches too short.dont mind being corrected though.

There is only a few inches difference and the shrouds and trapeze wires are too long du to differing height attachment, gives a stiffer top half of mast I suppose.

I cut 12" off the fireball sail and that brings boom height to where Peggies would normally be.

A GP14 mast will fit as long as it is from a hog stepped boat not deck stepped. Used successfully on Pegasus 192. Trapaze easily added.

Cheers for now
