Solo gooseneck

Not strictly Classic sailing but a guy at our club has a Solo with a Needlespar mast and the gooseneck broke on Sunday. He wants to replace it but is getting over the shock of a new one being £30. It has a short stubby entry into the boom (there must be a technical term for this!!) and he reckons that the collar for the mast is a plastic material. Anyone know where he can get one secon hand ? Anyone out there in sailing land?
