Shroud levers

Post by Steve Bailey »

If anyone has a surplus pair of throw-off shroud levers cluttering their shed, I have a good home for them on an elderly Albacore I recently purchased. The present levers are the quadrant type which can explode under stress when they've spent their life quietly corroding in salt water spray.
All the best

God, I have been looking for a set for ages too.....

A set came up on Ebay a couple of months ago, but they went for nearly the same amount as a new set....and that is rather a lot of money.

So....if you find two sets....you know who to tell

cheers

Ed,
Yep, cheap new ones are about £40 each. I went to America last year for the Albacore Internationals and bought loads of bits over there, they cost roughly half what you'd pay for them here. They found their way into my tool box which came back in the shipping container with the boats in. A pity I never thought of shroud levers.
Totally changing the subject, I hope to get to at least one cvrda event next year. Is it ok just to pitch up on the day and pay the fee or what?
Cheers
