I don't want to butcher either of my family's two perfectly good Fireflies, but, having seen the prices asked for Ducklings and being in want of a lightweight sailing tender, I thought of ripping the deck and transom off a Firefly, sawing three feet off the stern, torturing what was left into a new shape and fitting a new transom, to create something like this:
So, if anyone has a Firefly hull which is past repair to racing spec, drop me a line...

Shame on you Alan,!

This looks just the job! There is an interesting take as well on how to rig the (decent looking) reynolds mast as well!!
Its got quite a few spares as well including a nice looking fixed rudder. The brass keel strip and other bits are well worth keeping too.
...Actually if you dont want the mast and rudder I'd willingly take them of your hands for you.

Well spotted! A not too shabby Mark One!
Project aborted on advice from Ed, but someone might give this boat a home...
