Bow plate

Post by Garry R »

Looking if possible for a brass bowplate with 2 or 3 holes for forestay and jib and a 2.5 - 3" tang to meet up with the keelband for my Ent to get her finished off. If I use the modern stainless one it will look a bit naff I feel. Pints or payment offered.

I thought I had one too but searched high and low to no avail and then realised that it was off an old Firefly which I gave away with the boat. Stupid!!

I know we have the one from geep 264, but it isn't brass. I can get it if you want it.

It doesn't have to be the brass one as long as it is the style with the rather large flat plate rather than the one with the small attachment flange if you get my drift.

Garry we extended the one on the geep to allow two screws to be put into the stem. I was concerned that direct pull from the forestay/jib wire may pull vertical screws out. Belt and braces may be but I dont have that worry.
