Byte bits

Post by Nessa »

I know this isn't a lost class.....yet

but does anyone know where I can get some parts for the old style Byte ? I need everything bar the hull! Otherwise, does anyone know if any other dinghy parts, especially spars, are compatible?

I did a foolish thing.....again....

Nessa, ask Tickler on the Y&Y forum (otherwise known as John Saunders) as it was his that was burnt...

Otherwise, there must be loads of the original Byte rigs around from those which have been C2'd.

By the way, how did you manage to buy a boat by mistake?

It was scarily like that. Bidding finger had not engaged brain, it just saw cheapness...

"By mistake", yes, just the other day, in fact, but not too often without the inverted commas!

My last 2 purchases, the Selway Fisher Canoe and the Minisail, were "because they were there" and I jumped without actually working out what I was really going to use them for, except to think about in the snow covered evenings.

In the summer, I was looking out for a single hander and thought I had bought a Phantom tin rig Harrier on A p Duck. However having gone out to buy a new lightboard and straps, for the occassion, returned home to get a message that it was sold.
Then via Y&Y, someone contacted me to say he had a standard rigged one, however that was down deepest Hampshire way (believe it went to Bungay).
I have bought boats in the past from far flung places, however health and carer considerations these days allayed that one.
I then got a part completed 3rd Fireball a little while back, which will be coming home from my club, after the guy who bought an interim to get back on the water summertime plastic boat, can himself get here from Norfolk when weather permits, thus freeing up some far from premium space.

And then some... goes and posts a link to a well nice looking FB,
stop it please

Merry Christmas to y'alImage

All I want for Christmas is...

Zig-a-zig, Ahhh!

(Spice Girls.)

This explains most of the things bought "by mistake."

At the risk of giving Posh,Baby, Scary, Sporty and Ginger a veneer of intellectual respectability, Is "Zig a zig Aaah" another way of saying "A-Z."

What I really really want is, everything. Well theres always something to catch the eye.

A drysuit would be nice

Happy Christmas!!
