Europe bolt?

Post by Nessa »

......one of those bolts that holds the boom to the mast. One of the multitude that now sails europes here lost hers on the way to the Grafham Grand Prix and anyone who has owned a europe will know how foolish this was!

If anyone can help contact me and we can compare dimensions....

Hi Nessa,

is it a bolt or is it one of those fat pins as on a Lightning, OK etc.?

If it is a fat pin, just pick up a length of ally bar of the right diameter (plenty of offcuts on eBay), then drill both ends for split pins or R clips instead of the normal one end.

I think they're the same as Finn ones which you can get from Rodney at Suntouched.

Hi Neesa

You can buy these from Adrian at Needlespar/ Hawk Engineering (Hawk Wind Indicators) on Hayling Island.

Ivan

PS Foolish for the wallet to loose it!

Thanks Ivan, will see what they can do. Foolish indeed and what worries me is that thinking I would lend mine, I now can't find it..... Useful to know where needlespar are - I have a fair few of their spars and recently had to buy a mast head sheave from some dodgy chap on ebay....think he was based in Lymington....
