Catamaran wanted

Post by ent228 »

Upon reflection it seems that the only type of boat that I haven't sailed is any sort of Catamaran. Is there anyone with one in the South West area who would like theirs looked after/repaired and sailed next year? I can offer it a loving home on the river Dart. However I'm a bit broke at the moment so can't buy it. So it would have to be a loan in exchange for work or a straight gift! Anything any condition would be appreciated as I have lots of experience repairing old dinghies.

Can you get a crewing job on the front end of one, say a Dart18? No kite on these but a trapeze for the crew. Not sure of fleets down your way but check their site. There are loads about.
Not sure about a Unicorn as a first cat but hey, why not?
Got my Dart/Sprint 15 some 12 years ago after sailing all sorts of dinghies for about 30 years. Brilliant!. Blew me away!. Would'nt be without mine.
Best of luck
