Tent guy rope style kicker adjuster for Solo wanted

Post by phil58490 »

Has anyone got a spare 1960s style, I can best describe it as a tent guy rope rope adjuster that would be suitable for a Solo kicker. Its a flat plate, not sure what it is made of, with a hole at either end. If I can't buy one I will make one if someone can lend me one to copy or send me a photo or a diagram with measurements. Thanks.

No it is shaped like a figure 8 but extended in the middle to become a classic dog bone shape and flat in section.

You do recall that they didn't work in any meaningful way, tending to let go if the loads increased? Personally I'd say that's one step in authenticity too far...

I just checked my 1950s Gull and 11Plus plans, and they both show just a simple lanyard turning round a block and then tied, so I can't help with a drawing.

Just choose an aethetically pleasing bone shape with the holes' distance apart about 1.5 times the diameter of the sheave the rope feeds from. Hole size to line size should be close though
