With a dagger-board Subversion will be out of class... unless the N12 class are making an exception for this one!

So I would not go chasing an expensive carbon rig for it! If they are allowing you to sail her as she is thats one thing but if you brought the rig up to date they might well say that the rules do not allow you in.

At the cvrda Subversion would probably always be welcome to an event because she is such a significant boat in the life of the class, but would get handicapped by the race committee to reflect the state of tune of the boat.

National 12 "Spider" 2523
Finn K468 'Captain Scarlet'

British Moth, 630, early 60's 'Pisces'

!!!! Not CVRDA !!!!
Comet Trio - something always ready to sail.

No not out of class the n12 association outclassed daggerboard s only after about 12 boats had already been built those boats were issued dispensation to remain in class this is one of them. Built and designed by Joe Richards in 1976 the second boat to have daggerboard.
