Self launching Twin poles

Post by alan williams »

Does anyone have a 2 meter pair of spinnaker poles plus the mast mounted launching fitting, (not spiro). For sale ?

Hi Alan,

I think I have the poles, but not sure there is any attachement and it isn't a spiro.

Came off a Merlin Rocket at Tamesis.

What's it for? FF?

They may be a little spindly for that, but worth a look.

Have a look at the pole systems described on the Merlin site, assuming it is for the 15. Jon Turner's is the cheapest way.

I think with mine, the sheets/guys just went through a mast ring eye and were brought up tight by the pole.

if you are interested, I will dig them out of the workshop.

Thanks Ed I'm on the way to Gatwick at present. The set up that I want to do is the same as the one I had on Piece of Cake my very fast Hornet, It requires a special mast fitting. The poles and fittings you have Ed seem to be similar to the setup that I'm hoping to put together.
Thanks Al

Well I can bring them up if you want.

Just tell me when you are back and I will bring them up.
