Classic Phantom wanted

Post by neil »

OK, Finn sailors please avert your eyes.

As the CVRDA is now piloting the inclusion of several new classes by changing the eligibility criteria I'm now in the market for a classic Phantom.

I'm doing the usual trawl through Class Association / eBay / Gumtree etc but if you happen to see a for sale post on your sailing club noticeboard or know of any boats for sale can you please drop me a line. I'm fine with a project.

thanks

Neil

OK, I appear to have bought a Phantom, sight unseen. The only downside is it is in Sevenoaks and doesn't have a trailer.

Bit of a long shot, but does anyone have a trailer for sale?

£100 off FaceBook, I'll take a risk on the decks so have bought without seeing, reckon it's worth the risk though. GRP hull - one of only a few GRP hulls built before the 1990s. Is complete and hopefully will be sorted so I can do a couple of CVRDA events next year. Clywedog here we come.

Zenith is going to be a while as I have a full house to modernise so I'm hoping the Phantom won't take too long to get back on the water.

Not a problem Neil. It was serviced and had new hubs and bearings fitted this year.
