Surely putting the word "Tupperware" on this site is akin to going up to a sheep and yelling "mint sauce". Amazed the moderator allowed it!!!

strangely enough.....

As Neil and Stu will remember, the old Forum software (maybe this one too) had the ability to automatically delete or change words as set up by the admin.

Thinking this was a bit of a gas we made it automatically change 'polypropelene' to 'tupperware' and then forgot about it. The forum really grew and suddenly there were lots of people who we did not know and of course one day it clicked in and someone was a bit miffed and wondered why this had happened.

We rather sheepishly changed it back.

cheers

I will use this on my MR 908 onc refurb is complete and have used it on other Merlins I have owned in the past, really good stuff.

Speak to Tony Blackmore who owns Sail-Sport. A really good guy plus excellent service.

Cheers

thanks for all the suggestions.

so far I've trashed a number of funnels and have shattered 2mm perspex, I think thinner perspex and mylar hinge will be the next one to try

Neil - don't forget Chris' advice - always check your flaps from the outside of the boat occasionally before you start a race.

Hi Neil
I've a work shop full of perspex of varying thinkness but only white or clear. How much do you need and what thickness. I can bring it up to Roadford on Sunday. On the hornet used to use overlapping sail repair tape, will tell you how to do it on Sunday if interested they open automatically once boat is moving.
