A friend of mine has just handed me a Genoa jib for a cruiser he would like me to sell. The sail appears to be well made, however it is made by a company I am not familiar with.
The maker is the A team ,from some where in eastern England, does anybody know about this sail loft, and can give me a reference on them.
Brian Evans.

Re: sails
Gentlemen,
by the lack of response to my question, I am getting the idea that ,nobody, cares to venture an opinion on the quality or reputation of this sailmaker.

Re: sails
Brian,
there are those on this site who've quite a knowledge of sailmakers.
BEST way forward is to take a quick photo of thge sailmakers label and then post that here - I'm sure that you'll get a response.
That is...unless it was one of the lofts that just did big boat sails - Crusader and Arun spring to mind here (Arun as in 'A' maybe).
If you cannot do a picture then a detailed description of the sailmaklers 'mark' would be the next best thing. It is very hard to answer some of the questions that get posed with the very limited info available.
But..we'll try

Re: sails
The Phantom I am restoring (P499) came with an 'A Team' sail. By the look of it I would guess it is as old as the boat which would probably date it back to the late 70's or early 80's, unfortunately now only usefull as a dust sheet .
