Do you know THIS one?????

Post by davidh »

Okay one and all (and yes, that means you too Dave C, no skulking away up there in snow bound essex)

How about the Meteor Scow? A mini Fireball, very bullet like?

Any takers on this one..... can provide details if required!

Is it on your list too Dave?

There is no snow left here, just rain. We don't lie to keep things hanging around too long up here.

I have the Meteor Scow on my list but with no details. I also have the Meteor listed as an Arthur Robb day boat from the Broads at about 21 feet.

As an aside the Meteor is also a a Van de Stadt daysailer on the Italian Lakes usually called the Asso or Assometeor.

Have you managed to find a Meteor scow?

Dave (C)

No - but I have found out a load of details about them........

Will try to collate them and then add to the list.

This just has to be the 'lostest' of the lost classes (unlike the Pisces which is almost an unlost class)

" I was lost, but now I'm found"..... no points for the song or the singer

Is it a figment of my failing brain or wasn't there a mini fireball called the "Bullet", designed by Peter Milne? A more youth orientated design I think?

Simon.

Info on the Bullet at http://uk.geocities.com/dinghydata/Bullet.htm
The Meteor scow had a star with a tail as it's sail insignia, but that's all I know.
