Masts for sale

Post by Keith66 »

Filling up the yacht club rack, two alloy masts from broken up boats. one Fireball believed to be a proctor & one Swift catamaran.
Both serviceable.

Could be interested in the fireball one for conversion to a Phantom - is it a stiff or bendy one? Whereabouts are you and what donation (if any!) would you be looking for? PM me if you prefer.

Graham, I think the fb one will be too big for a phantom!

I know you emailed me about phantom bits, but I have forgotten what's on your wanted list!

Nessa, I think you are right but..... Phantom initially used a Fireball sized main, but a deck stepped mast instead of floor stepped. Therefore if I cut a bit (2 - 3 ft?) off the bottom I should have a mast the right length with the gooseneck in approx the right place. Not sure if spreader height would be correct though! Any other suggestions for a cheap Phantom mast gratefully recieved!
