Baltic Wharf

Post by Nigel »

Hi all,

Have fun at Baltic Wharf. My apologies but I have to be somewhere hot so will be too far away to make it.

HI all.

I hope to be back and ready to make it to BW at the weekend (yes, complete with Sandy's life jacket which is now in the car already)

Anyone interested in crewing in a smokers come the day? Roger, we've rebuilt the bottom of the boat and though nothing can be 100% certain of being 'commodore proof' we shouldn't sink this time out?

Hi
I will be on the other side of the bridge in God's country watching Wales beating the Arggies convincingly at Rugby. Unlike that apology of a team England, Will think of you all whilst downing a beer.
Cheers Alan

Baled out and aired the Merlin this afternoon ready for Saturday..... AND we're even going to try to make the first race for the first time ever at Baltic Wharf - after how many years

The 1st race is the fun one. In fact, 2 top of the harbour races in the day would, I think, make a better meeting. Non Firefly sailors who didn't grow up sailing on a river with tower blocks nearby might disagree!

Can't find the "Beehive" in the Dinghy Database, Roger - is it any relation to the Buzz :D
It would make a nice sail logo though.

I hope the weather is ok for you too, because if it's ok for you, it'll probably be ok for my level 2 course as well.....which is why I can't be there....

I will make a cvrda meeting one day, to just prove I really exist...

I think it is still going to be rather too much for Charlie, I'm afraid, especially as his new wetsuit has yet to arrive, and it really ain't shortie weather for a 9 year old...
