The only Peter Cook I can think of was a friend of Dudley Moore, but I've always had a problem with remembering names... Hope I will recognise him if he comes along.
We will be having a crack at not coming last at the 06 nationals, so he must be a better helm than me! Mind, show me a wave and I fall to pieces. Even rescue boat wakes cause me trouble!

There was also the former Y and Y editor and Fireball sailor, but I think think that he joined Pearly Gates YC a few years ago

No. that's fine, David. It was good to see such a turn out of six old merlins. Especially good to see a few new faces too.
Many thanks again.

Thanks one and all at Bowmoor S.C. Nice weekend despite the weather.
The family in Merlin 2081 brought a smile to my face. The kids, one hanging over each side, were loving it. Did'nt get chance to speak to them.Had they come far?

It was also really nice to see those children looking around at all the cvrda boats on the shore and taking pictures, particularly of the different Merlins.

Thanks to everyone at Bowmoor - I had a great time. Sailing, organisation and food were all first class. Now safely back to Aberdeen and ready for a regatta at Forfar this weekend but also sadly back to work!!

Again thanks to everyone and Neil - the launch trolley is just fine
