Re: Christmas Quiz
The answer to all questions but the last is The Finn, a class for men.
However the last is more subjective and I suspect DH would not be strong enough.
As a teenager I had a finn K152 Finik a blue Elvestrom boat bit I was not man enough, short tacking was like going about under enemy barbed wire! I do however admire the likes of Ainsley the modern Elvestrom. Paul of course still sails a Finn at his home.

Simples.
Re: Christmas Quiz
Ainsley the chef of Ready Steady Cook, is that? Didn't know he sailed a Finn...Ancient Geek wrote: I do however admire the likes of Ainsley
Or do you mean Ainslie?
Peter, AG appears to have given the answer away, though I think people might have got the drift anyway!
Anyone doing a real quiz?

Re: Christmas Quiz
I know some...
> 1. Which boat has been in every Olympics since 1952?
The Rowing 8 (some other too I expect)
> 3. Which class is the fastest hiking single-hander sailed in the CVRDA?
The International Canoe
> 5. In which boat has Great Britain won more Gold medals at the Olympics than any other class?
The Eights again - with 8 golds per Olympics what else could it be?
10. What boat should DavidH buy to demonstrate his real talent and suit his developing gravitas?

Re: Christmas Quiz
Jim,
I had thought of the canoe, which is why I put in 'hiking'. The eight doesn't count unless it's got a sail on it!
I think the best quiz prize this year though goes to Nigel, or it least it will if he can work out the correct answer to his mainsheet!
