National 12 - 2204
Built by Wyche & Coppock, 1964 (cvrda Classic)
Ian Proctor design; 11a

Cleo II is a mid width Clinker National 12. Although not competitive with a modern 12 on large waters she will still hold her own on restricted waters and does very well in light winds. Mind you in a blow, on a reach she is bl**dy quick too. Ask Neil or Ed (members of this forum) how much of the boat was in the water when I came in from racing at Roadford 2004 (not a lot)

She comes with a good set of sails, recent buoyancy bags and all the bits and bobs to sail immediately including a launching trolley. She's recently had the decks taken back to wood and completely re-varnished, and looks good for it too.

There are plenty of pictures of this boat on the cvrda website, but if you want more pictures or further info email me (click on me to the left of this message).

This National 12 would be the ideal cheap introduction to cvrda sailing. Yours for £250 (could deliver, within reasonable distance)

She's currently at Roadford Lake in Devon, but normally lives in Bristol.

Reason for selling? Baby on the way, :D just bought a cvrda eligable singlehander, :D 3 boats is one too many. :(

I was thinking of many classes, and wanted a challenge at the same time. So in a moment of madness, and after sailing Ed's a few times in differing winds with a degree of success I've bought myself a 1971, International canoe !! cvrda eligable, a challenge and a beaut. :D

1 * Hornet
2 * old canoes (Rannoch and yours)
1 * new canoe (I forgot Ed's was not a classic)

Though with a family about to start you should consider a Tideway as well as they seem to go hand in hand with a canoe

Blimey, It would seem that way, although you too do have a canoe and a Tideway?

Lizzy loves the idea, but the bank manager would not, so we'll just have to borrow yours, or Ed's. OR Ed, You & I could blast about in canoes, whilst the girls go and potter in the tideway (s) with picnics and babies. :D

Obviously being a modern man, if the girls wanted to blast about in canoes I would be perfectly happy to sail the tideway with picnics and babies. ;)

Well our N12 is sold.......she went to a very nice family, who promised to look after her. John, the new owner liked the sound of the cvrda events and said he would like to try and get to a few next year.
