I've just learned about this event so I'm passing it on in case anyone else is interested and hasn't yet heard about it.

The following info is taken from the National 12 website:

" The Regatta weekend is a chance for the whole of the class to celebrate 70 years of N12s. There will be racing targeted at all levels of sailors and boats with the aim of encouraging as many vintage boats as possible along. Come along and see the amazing variety of N12s which have been designed and sailed over the years.

There will be a pursuit race with the boats starting in order of age to give a fair handicap. Guess which design will win? On Sunday evening there will be a anniversary dinner and a chance to catch up with old friends.

There will be activities for the whole family throughout the weekend, including junior racing, so bring them along too.

If your boat floats then this event is a must! "

I've just realised that the text I quoted didn't include the really important bit , date and venue!

Date: May Bank Holiday - 27/28/29 May 2006

Venue: Northampton (Pitsford reservoir)

Sorry!
Steve :)

Yes,it is a good piece of water and friendly club but

a: the date clashes with CVRDA at Brightlingsea

b: don't think I can pass the OK off as a long forgotten N12 design.

Shame. But the OKs have their Inland Champs there Sept30th/Oct 1st.
