Unit 7

Post by JB9 »

With the imminent arrival of the Wildfire I am selling the Unit. I have only sailed it a few times but found it to be a good sail with the position on the sliding seat very comfortable. Full details are here - http://www.sail-world.com/UK/index.cfm? ... ickerCID=0

There are two sails, very good launching trolley and a good road base that it fits onto though it is not a combi. Three tiller extensions and a half finished replacement sliding seat are included. The mast can be moved for and aft. The cover is very good. Asking just £250 ono.

Sorry, didn't get the meaning of the 2nd post - assumed Peter meant it had gone.

I sold her to an excellent home, but the new owner seems to have been seduced by a new beauty

This is one boat that I might be tempted to break my no more boats rule. I feel she needs to be preserved because of her history. Is she the only one left?
Unfortunately the funds are not there at present.

the ad came up the day after I'd committed to the moth, otherwise I too would have been very tempted.

B****r i thought it had gone. I'd have been interested in this, even though it's a long way off, I have friends in Faversham so it would have been a good excuse to be down that way.

One question though - would it be boat enough to take my not inconsiderable bulk - around +- 16 stone?

what work needs doing?

if so I suppose I'd better get a marker in - well I've made a bid, we'll see how it goes. still want those photos though.

Well.....that is that one sorted then ....almost.... :-)

I'm also terrible at looking at boats I want to buy.....and just not getting it together to actually phone up or close the deal.

Just do it!

OBC.........

Yes, one of the things the Unit has in it's favour is it's ability to carry a few extra kilos.............

Can confirm that personally!
