Still looking for a road trailer - or ideally a combi - for an 18' Jollyboat, Sussex based.

Re: Road Trailer
Have a look below.
It will be cheap.
Originally for a Fireball, but I am sure with a bit of fettling......
Far too long for my National 12.
Cheers

Re: Road Trailer
I would suggest, that it is a bit long for a Gull.
Assuming I have my figures are right, 11ft for a Gull?
It means that you will be lifting almost the entire weight of the boat every time you wanted to move it?
In my experience, you want the axle to be past the half way point, but not too far past. So that the majority of the weight of the boat is over the axle.
Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Re: Road Trailer
yes.....
way to big for a 11ft boat.
but would be fine for a Jollyboat.
I would be happy to give Stewart first dabs, but if he is not interested, I certainly might be.

Re: Road Trailer
Those of you with a sharp eye will notice that I have put the trailor together incorrectly. The rear axle of the trolley is under the recieving jaws of the trailor, not in them. When I erroneously put the trailor together, I used no force to engage the locking bolt. So its just something to be aware of.
It should also be noted that the 'A frame' of the tralilor extends beyond the rear of the trailor axle allowing the trolley to engage without the removal of its wheels.
Cheers

Re: Road Trailer
Hi all
I've just bought a combi base which matches my 505 trolley hence I will have an ancient road trailer going free shortly (I need the space).
It's pretty heavy and could probably use some new tyres, but is otherwise serviceable and in fairly good condition with a tasteful green Hammerite finish. It looks like it could be adjusted to carry a longer boat and I'd guess would take a Jollyboat with a bit of fiddling about.

I would put it up with a picture in the 'For Sale' section when you are ready.

Re: Road Trailer
Will do, just need to fit a decent cradle to the trolley and the road trailer is then surplus to requirements. Will be free to whoever wants it.
