J17 taken by pirates
Unfortunately J17, Allegria, was taken by pirates last weekend and wrecked. Much fun had by all and a fitting end to a boat which was way past saving.

Sarry Rupert I thnk Raft of Medusa is too torris for the scen of fun above I accept that Ice Cold winter was h\ardly fun but the Washington picture is heroic, there may be others of course.

There is a Captain Bligh buried in my local Church cemetary, and the stern profile of this whaler looks fine enough to predate Uffa by about a century?!
Also an act of piracy.
Hi Al, was this "Kipper" Heywoods old boat? I remember it sailing at Itchenor in my youth. Did we correspond on the old Firefly site before it was hacked to death?
