No jib or kite by the looks of it, and aspects of it seem a bit heavy to me. The deck layout is very odd too for a Cherub. The setup of the floor stringers etc would be feasible for a Cherub, but once you get to that beam across the back of the daggerboard case and higher it all looks a bit too solid. The max beam is an awful long way forward too.

If it is 11' long - and it looks longer to me - then it could be a moth. It would not have been a fast one though - its very heavy.

Maybe a Zephyr? The New Zealand single-hander, not the alluminium thing nor the other one?

Certainly has no jib etc. so it is a single hander.

I presume that's not a very serious proposal, but no, the beam distribution is all wrong and the construction too heavy.

OK, not a Cherub. How about our old friend the Mark ?

It can't be a Mark because it has a deck stepped mast. Looks more like a streaker to me.

Don't think it's a Mark......I owned one for an hour once about 7 years ago.......it was nicked complete with trailer after I went to get a spare wheel when I got a puncture on the way home from the auction......I can't tell you how upset I was

I may get to look at this boat, as it is on my way (sort of) to/from London on Friday, and I am sorely tempted anyway, as I like the look of it......I really am hoping it is a Moth of some sort, although I doubt it....could be a one off design if it was "craftsman" built....but I reckon a lot longer than 10 years ago. Very interesting though.

I also thought it looks like a streaker, but the streaker has an aft bulkhead and no washboard thingy...

I have asked for more pics but can't be sure they will be forthcoming. Sami, do go and look and report back. It is totally intriguing and also tempting. Luckily I am away when it finishes :?

Looks far bulkier than the Streaker. I'm sure I've seen something similar before n here, but I don't think that was solved, either. If it is the same one, it has a fairly raked stem. Is there just the one pic?

Hi All,
I too thought that it looked a bit like a Mark with the open transom and the maximum beam fairly far forward, however the rig is too far aft and looks stayed which rules that out. It is also slightly too short to be a Mark if the 11' mentioned in the description is accurate as the Mark was 12' long if my memory serves me correctly. Interesting looking boat though and I would like to see some more pictures to help with the identification.
Regards

I had hoped to view this boat as I mentioned before, but my car isn't working reliably at present, so I'm afraid I didn't get to see it, and won't be bidding now either......so I think we're none the wiser really.......except that I notice he has now put more pics on, and with un unrecognised insignia on the sail, and the number 001, it looks as if it is probably a one off I think.
