Hi all,
Took the boat out today and had a pleasant sail in the sun, it never got much above freezing but I was plenty enough warm enough in my drysuit but my feet were cold. I was wearing thick socks inside the drysuit feet and wet suit boots outside. The wetsuit boots and drysuit boots have plenty of room so what else should I wear to keep my feet warm. I guess it is old age but I don't remember suffering that badly with cold feet.

Re: I've got cold feet
I very rarely suffer from cold feet but a chap at the sailing club last week was telling me he wore a pair of thick socks, then put hand warmers inside, then a pair of wetsuit socks, then a zip up wetsuit boots (3 sizes too big) on top. He said he never had trouble with cold feet! The hand warmers he used were re- activated after use, can't remember if he said in the microwave or fridge.

Re: I've got cold feet
I've had similar problems with cold feet in a drysuit. I have a pair of dive socks, these are titanium lined fleece, but I don't like them as they bunch up.

Sealskinz... fabulous and not bulky, so you can wear them inside a drysuit.

Re: I've got cold feet
I bought a pair of Rooster Hot Socks a couple of years ago and christened them in a Frostbite race when, for the first time in almost 50 years years at Dell Quay, sheets of ice had formed on the water. I was as warm as toast and have used the socks ever since; wouldn't be without them!

Re: I've got cold feet
I used my Rooster Hot Socks all year round this year, including under my dry suit with a pair of walking socks over them.
