Another boat at last

Post by MartinH »

After talking about it for ages at last I have bought myself a single-hander - Solo 2863. She is not in great condition but is sailable and is CVRDA-able.

I just need to figure out how to juggle boats, cars and camping kit so I can do the necessary sanding and varnishing. Solo is currently slung under the roof joists of the garage, Grad will go underneath, cars in driveway, camping gear fits around the boats like a jigsaw. Why don't designers of modern houses leave room room for boatsheds/parks?

Martin. You just need to put all the camping gear, sails, ruders other bits in the spare room if you have one and sooner or later Sara will get fed up enough for you to use some of the garden to build a suitable shed ;eaving the garage for what it was built for..... putting boats in.

Next son is DEFINITELY going AWAY to university - the oldest has stayed at home and goes to our local uni. Otherwise his room would now be full of bikes so that I can get the Sku down to the dry end of the "carport" to get sanded and varnished.

Oh No Roger what have you done a Burning Spocket. The way to sobriey and good behavour, next thing you will be eating with a knife and fork and wearing strange clothing. Come back from the edge of reason and once again enjoy the anarchy of Horneteering. All is not lost.
Cheers Al
