I would move this thread to "Social Events", but I have a feeling it is going to suit the rambling nature of "Banter" better...

Roger

"Was it buried under a car park and have a twist in the Hog?"

But of course.......and as it had sheeting on the end of the boom running to a brass hoop on the transom you get the saying

" A horse, a horse, my kingdom for a horse"...silly boy, he should have changed to centre mainsheet, he'd still be King today!

I've not heard of that one, there must be loads of these sort of stories.
Must one behind most boats deemed out of class I guess.

Rupert,

I'd love to tell but that would spoil a great sea story.............

As with the Contender book, I'm sticking strictly to the 'two sources' rule - with independant corroberation of a story, I keep it on file but it doesn't make the pages. The good news is that in this story, I have all the details I need....so this will very much be 'in' the book.

Trust me - this one is worth waiting for!

I'll be there on Saturday too so be warned

I'll probably be hanging around the Heron stand at some point. Also want to go and drool over an Osprey or two and have a look at that Uffa Fox N12 that someone's building. May also go and take some snaps of the Lightning 368s to show AK.
Best wishes

Unfortunately time and wanting Tom launch 'Seventh Heaven' before our club training day next saturday mean I wont be able to attend this year.

Have to catch up with you all at an event. Hope everyone has a great time.
