Re: Clwedog Event 25-27th May
I'm hoping on making an appearance too and may bring my MiniSail MiniSprint MkII "Scallywag" or another of my fleet. I've heard this is an event not to be missed.
Will probably be two mouths to feed. Me and my mum Claire.
Julian, I'd love a spin with you, but don't have my own harness.
Getting a good photo is always a priority.

Hiya all
specially Keith..........
Wot time does the fun start on Saturday? Not sure yet if I can play at home on Friday night at funsailing session, pack the boat and travel down Sat am, until I know when things start at Clywedog, also cat feeding teen queen needs to be briefed during this week.
Also, is there anyone who fancies crewing the FD for me in the races during the weekend???
Trips round the lighthouse definitely available for all who want to experience either end of the ultimate sailing dinghy of the last millennium.
cheers
Julian

hi Julian
Laid back Sat with early afternoon (2.00-ish start)
Haven't decided format for Sat.
Possibles, long distance cruise to top of lake, treasure hunt, pursuit type race, Pico racing,
Basically whatever the majority want.
Racing proper sunday and Monday.

@Julian
Yes I'd like to crew for you all or some of the time. I'm used to sailing single-handed, so will need some instruction sailing crew. I have been out on a harness before (but don't have one)and I will be around all weekend.
I was at the nationals last year sailing 'The Yellow Submarine' MiniSail.

Re: Clwedog Event 25-27th May
We'll be there with 'Myfanwy' our camper - Chris is just adjusting the trailer so we can tow with the mast higher than the top of the van. Aim to come up late Thursday and leave Tuesday morning if that's OK Keith.
In the middle we are going to a birthday party in Morecambe - just for the night but will be back to sail on Monday!!!!
See you tomorrow hopefully!
PS Nessa just going to post on the committee page for you to read! re: Hunts

So what's the camper Chris? Should that be MYFANVW? Aircools have huge a fan?
After 15yrs, I sold my VW Bus in Nov 2011 when I had'nt a clue how things would pan out here. Mistake!! I'm now on the look out for small camper at the moment. Older French van conversions seem to range from bizzarre to crap so I may land up importing from Germany or the UK (LHD). I do'nt want another aircool, although I love them. Diesel is about 1.42 euros a litre here so that's tempting but I'm no fan of oil burners.
To get back on thread, have a good time up in the hills folks.

Re: Clwedog Event 25-27th May
thanks Keith and all who worked hard for the weekend end at Clywedog. Enjoyable as every with good company . Sorry to have nipped off to a friend's party on the sunday night and missing some sailing. Perhaps it was a good thing we missed the Monday race... at least we didn't get anything broken!

Re: Clwedog Event 25-27th May
Another great Event at Clywedog accompanied by great weather and a good social side. Many thanks to all the organisers and especially to Lorraine who not only provided the meals but also manned a Patrol boat what a Commodore. I'm sorry that I did not sail all the races but have to stop when body tells me too. Thanks also to Keith for all his hard work and Mick for changing his batteries.
Cheers Al
