Difficult to get scale but blade s fairly small so something like gull, Heron, or something...

Looks like something with quite a slim transom, or a large tiller port - the pintles are fairly close together. But other than that, not a clue...

With that trail angle it has a hint of OK about it. That might also explain the lifting wishbone tiller as there would be no transom port to get in the way. Thoughts anyone?

The blade does, but I remember Cadet stocks as being deeper than that.

Very very like Tom's early 1965 OK rudder - difficult to identify wothout a scale reference though.

It's an 30 Degree OK rudder, I'm 99.9% sure. I will dig out the class measurements later this evening and post them here, then you can see if it matches. Bingo!

Thanks Guys.

May well be an OK there is nice crispy sail in there too, ive yet to check, so not surprising we might have the steering gear as well.

Definitely worth saving then if it is.

Sorry for the delay.

The measurements that will help identify your blade will be these, I think.

Blade width 300mm +/- 5

Radius of the round bottom "edge" 150mm.

And from the top end of the staight part of the leading edge(just below stock) down to a right angle line from the bottom tip of the radius should be 635mm. I hope this one reads alright as these are my words ,not quoted. It looks much clearer on the diagram!

Finally, it should be no more than 20mm thick

Definately worth saving. I'd have it myself only the logistics of getting it would be very tricky.

Thanks Alan,
Its down the scout hut so will take a tape on Monday and check it out. If it is I'll bung in on the OK website for suitable min donation amount. Happy to see it getting used.
