Bough Beech Rally

Post by Rupert »

Bough Beech is next, on Saturday 3rd August.

A good warm up for the Nationals - make sure everything works on boat and trailer!

You are welcome to camp. It is a 1 day event but those attending are most welcome to join the club racing on Sunday.

If there is demand for the galley to be open for dinner on the Saturday night then I need an idea of numbers please.

It is possible to leave boats at BBSC and then pick up on the way to the National Rally if that is convenient.

There is a strict no dogs policy.

I expect we will just come for the day, BB is not too far for leaving the dogs with the outlaws for the day.

Hi all,

Ronny and I will be attending/camping/hanging around for Sunday sailing too. Not sure about galley. Can we use the kitchen, if we leave it tidy?

The galley will be locked when it is not being manned.

Anybody else coming?

I will be sailing FD 9 which is far from looking really nice but fun to sail.

Sorry we can't make it this time Trevor - I'm on call to support a software update this weekend so need to stay around Warminster.

I'll email you the latest cvrda handicaps list.

Indeed, a Minisail is strapped on the car-roof and I am looking forward to sailing at Bough Beech a lot.

Have a fantastic time - I shall think of you whilst I sit in the print shop, listening to the cricket, wondering what extreme the newspapers will go to if the Aussies are winning this time...

There was plenty of wind for the morning race and in the afternoon wind picked up some more.
Finally only two boats were left competing. The others were towed in with damage or half sunk, some were just overpowered.
There was probably more talking than sailing as usual, but then we all had a story to tell anyway.

It was great to be there, thank you Trevor for making it happen.
My compliments to entire BBSC team, the combination of professionalism and hospitality is exceptional.
Greetings,
Ronny
