I bet there are hundreds about in club stores and sheds. Along with all the gaffs and booms no one had the heart to throw away. Good luck in your hunt.

I've got some mirror bits and some tillers but I don't know which are mirror tillers...if that makes sense.
Give me some basic measurements and I'll have a look.
Would be glad to get rid one!

Thanks, I have no old tiller to measure as the original has gone awol over the 30 0dd years she has been in storage. :(
Checked on ebay and none listed for the couple of weeks I have been looking , so was hoping someone here might just have one in the back of the shed/garage. sorry to be of no help but I have nothing to go on and no idea of length.

Chris, it will have a slot cut in it to go over the rudder stock.

I'll take a look in the shed.

^^^ spot on I recon !, been out and pondered over the rudder . The slot is about 15mm wide and 65mm long on the top, it then tapers out to to the bottom of the slot, overall depth of slot 45mm. could have a hole in the side where a pin goes through ?. :) . J

I have one that you're welcome to, it may be screwed to a rudder that you would also be welcome to, I'll check.

Where are you based? I'm in E. Anglia but travel a fair bit in the South and South West.

Just checked the shed, and somehow I have run out of old Mirror tillers. 2 spare rudder blades, but no stocks or tillers.

Pity I've not got one, considering I sail within hearing distance of your start sequence...

I am pretty sure there are some mirror bits in the boat shed in Chippenham , not far from you. I will be rummaging at the W/E if you are interested..
