Only two? It's like the twelve days of Christmas here - 4 larks a larking, 3 Merlins for varnishing, 2 Albacores........apparently having two Finns is regarded as excessive....

Re: Finn GBR417
Two Finns is a ridiculous number. You need several more to complete the set.
I currently have three moths, which feels quite balanced and sane. This outfit is complemented nicely by the classic 14 and the relatively new but absolutely fabulous composite contender. The harshly newish D one mars the picture a tad, and it's best to turn a blind eye to the battle scarred 2000, but it does keep me in cake....

Nessa, I need a boat that 'keeps me in cake'. Can you tell me how this is done please?

Re: Finn GBR417
It works like this. I run a women's sailing session every Tuesday morning where a) we eat cake and b) we sometimes go sailing. The 2000 is the ladies' vessel of choice, preferred far above the club's RS Vision. Since the 2k is my personal boat I can't/wouldn't charge for use, so instead I get several varieties of home made cake at least once a week. Can't be bad.
I would also add that these sessions and the possibility of cake at the end of the them have created many a fine lady sailor at Hunts, including one who went from beginner to DI in about two years, plus of course Er Indoors, who has now resorted to buying brand new boats of her own!
