Remember 'Light Craft' ? I have quite a collection of issues, but looking through them (sad, ain't it) I find that I actually have a lot missing.

If anyone has any they don't want, or want to sell, I'd be grateful for first refusal.

It's not sad Nick. It's just one of those things one can indulge in when one is retired, I guess.
I have some and they are a good read are'nt they? And no, I do'nt want to part with them.

Most of mine are earlier than that, because I went to sea in 1961 and stopped getting them. Any since I have picked up in junk shops and the like. So 1965 is perfect. Have you some you don't want ? I'm happy to have duplicates.

This is a very old post, but here goes. The Web site "Song of the Paddle" has started a search in support of the Access Campaign for old photos showing the use of inland rivers by boats. The BCU has research which suggests that all rivers may be regarded as "navigable" and hence there is a right of access. However, old photos with some provenance showing such use (and the PB canoe tours highlighted in Light Craft would be such photos) would help in the campaign. I wonder if the owners of old copies would be prepared to spend the odd winter hour looking for such evidence. You can reach me here as PeterH and on Song of the Paddle as Impcanoe

I will have a look when I can remember where they are. Have checked, and the last time I updated my records I had about half of them, though I'm sure I have more.

Hi Peter, I have a few copies early/mid 60's (I too lust for more!) and this will give me a good excuse to put off housework at odd times this winter, as your request is of national importance :D

Neil,

Do you have one from around 1956 57. Front cover is a pic of Shoestring going upwind at Burnham. I had a scan of the cover but have lost it. I will give you 4.99 plus postage or more even.

been through them all and have 5 editions with a sliding seat Hornet on the cover - but unfortunately not Shoestring. 1956 and 1957 is a hole in my collection.
